The geese have names!

Tenba Ridge Winery: Name the Geese

It wasn’t fowl play, but rather an act of kindness that we ended up with this pair of geese at the end of our driveway. Their costumes magically change for the season, thanks to the mysterious work of an unknown designer.
Instead of getting honked off, we decided we should give these birds a proper name.
We had great response to our contest to name the geese. The winner is Jill Hasz. Jill called one “Gewurzie” (German for “Spicy”) and one Gris (French for “Grey”). We're still not sure which is male and which is female, but perhaps that's another contest! Jill will receive a bottle of wine for her winning entry.
We had lots of “Lena and Ole” and “John and Linda” entries, but Jill’s choices best catch the essence of winery geese.
